Pool Services
The Woodlands Pool Builders offers four core services: custom gunite construction, fiberglass installation, patio/outdoor-living renovation, and repair work on existing pools.
Gunite Pool Construction
Poured-in-place concrete (gunite/shotcrete) pools, custom-shaped and engineered for Texas clay soils, built to last decades.

Pre-manufactured fiberglass shells, installed in weeks rather than months, with a smooth gel-coat finish that resists algae.
Learn more →Patio & Outdoor Living Renovation
Decking, outdoor kitchens, pergolas, and full backyard renovations designed around an existing or new pool.
Learn more →Pool Repair & Resurfacing
Plaster and pebble resurfacing, equipment replacement, leak detection, and structural repair for existing pools.
Learn more →Gunite or Fiberglass?
The two new-build options are gunite and fiberglass, and the right one depends on what matters most to the project. Gunite is fully custom-shaped and built on-site, which makes it the choice for a specific layout, raised spa, negative edge, or integrated water feature; it also takes longer to build since it cures in phases. Fiberglass is a pre-manufactured shell set in one piece, which means a faster installation and a smoother, lower-maintenance gel-coat surface, but a design limited to the manufacturer's available molds.
Patio renovation and pool repair aren't an either/or with new construction, they're often paired with it (decking and outdoor living built alongside a new pool) or run as standalone projects on an existing backyard.
Questions Worth Asking Yourself First
A few questions help narrow down which service actually fits: Is there an existing pool, or is this new construction? Is a specific shape or feature set non-negotiable (lean gunite), or is a faster timeline the priority (lean fiberglass)? Is the backyard itself the project, decking, shade, a kitchen, as much as the water is? Answering those before the first consultation speeds up the design conversation.
Serving The Woodlands, Shenandoah
The Woodlands Township Covenants require Design Review Committee approval for pool and backyard construction in nearly every village, and that review covers fencing, setbacks, and drainage as well as the pool itself. That approval package is prepared and submitted as part of the design phase, so construction is not waiting on a resubmission mid-project. The Woodlands’ wooded lots also mean tree-preservation review is common alongside the DRC process.
